In the clear waters of the river dominates the otter population, maybe one of the country's most vital group. In the proximity of the springs, where the waters are cooler, live the rare italian spectacled salamander and the more common salamander. There are also trouts, freshwater crayfish, river crabs, italian stream frogs, agile frogs and the common toad.

In the holm oak wood you can meet traces of elusive mammals such as porcupine, wild cat, wolf.

Birds of prey stand out among the birds: kestrel, goshawk, brown kite, red kite and the equally imposing imperial crow.
